Library management software is essential to carrying out the mission of the Libraries, and subsequently the mission of the VCCS. The library system upgrade from Aleph to Alma supports student success by enabling effective library service delivery and improved administrative management. The goal of this project was to replace siloed legacy systems (Aleph, SFX, MetaLib, and CORAL) and ensure continued library service by implementing a scalable library system to provide management for all library assets and enable compatibility with other VCCS systems. All 23 VCCS colleges successfully went live with Alma / Primo in late June, 2018.
